Aaron Kyle Russell
- age 40 of Winter Park FL.; passed away February 21, 2019 after a long and courageous battle with leukemia. He was born on April 2, 1978 in Tyler, Texas. He moved to Altamonte Springs with his family later that year. He grew up playing little league baseball and pop warner football with his brothers. He enjoyed spending the holidays and summers with relatives in Texas. He went on to be the Quarterback and center fielder for the Lake Brantley Patriots. He then traveled to Danbury, Connecticut to study history and play wide receiver at Western Connecticut State University.

After college he worked as an educator and coach. He excelled as a mentor to students and players. Aaron later worked as a bartender in the downtown Orlando and Winter Park area. His big personality won over so many people over the years. People who are happy to have called him their friend.

He loved spending time with his girlfriend Karen and their dogs Opie and Fancy. He enjoyed his garden in his back yard and watching sports.

He is survived by his girlfriend, Karen Tschida, his Mother and Father, Patsy and David Russell, his brothers and their spouses, J.D. and Ashley Russell and Regan and Shannon Russell, and 4 nephews and 1 niece Jackson, Ansley, Bailey, Braden and Rylan.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 2nd from 3pm - 6pm at Highland Funeral Home, 3329 E. Semoran Blvd., Apopka. Casual attire is requested & we also request that everyone wear something to support one of Aaron's favorite teams. Longhorns, Texans or Astros.
