Alexander Frank Rossi
May 9, 1924 - June 21, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Alexander Frank Rossi, a beloved father and grandfather. He was a dedicated firefighter, and proud veteran. Alexander was born on May 9, 1924, in Chicago, Illinois. At the age of 18 Alexander enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He proudly served his country during World War II aboard his principle ship USS Pennsylvania. Later devoting his life to protecting his community as a member of the Chicago Fire Department.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Lorraine Rossi as well as his first born granddaughter Gina Gordy (Chance).
Alexander is survived by his cherished daughter, Karen Quinn (Jim Quinn). Grandchildren Brandi Stephenson (Shawn), Jamie Powell (Charlie), Jimmy Quinn (Lindsay). His great grandchildren Cassidy, Morgan, Quinn, Kevin, Jim, Alexis, Jax, Brielle and Brantley. As well as his great great grandsons Blaze and Legend.
Alexander will be remembered as a man whose laughter filled every room. Who could make a whole table laugh with one clever line. The heart of every gathering, the soul of every song. He didn't just tell the stories he was the STORY. The one who made strangers into friends. His hugs held warmth. His words held wisdom. He loved deeply, laughed freely and lived fully. We'll remember his smile. The way he sang along like the world was his stage. And how he showed us that love, laughter, and a good melody can turn any ordinary day into something unforgettable.
As we say goodbye to Alexander, we celebrate the legacy he leaves behind. A legacy of courage, compassion, and community service. May he rest in peace.
