Alice Josephine Hibbard, belovedly known as "Mickey," passed from this world surrounded by her loving children on November 7, 2023 at the age of 67 years.
Mickey was born on September 1, 1956 in Long Island, New York. She resided in Brooklyn until 1985 when she moved to Apopka, FL, where she lived until her final days.
Mickey was a proud mother to seven beautiful children, whom she referred to as her "masterpiece." She was a dedicated sister, aunt, and friend. More than this, Mickey was a spiritual and figurative mother to all. Many are the lives touched and transformed by her inspiring religious education classes, engaging preschool lessons, and numerous creative endeavors. Mickey's faith and passion were infectious. Her creativity and artistry were gifts she shared liberally. She was a woman whose generosity knew no bounds and whose love had no limit; Mickey's heart had room for everyone.
Mickey was greeted in Heaven by her parents, dearly departed family members and friends, and dozens of pets.
Mickey is survived by her six daughters, Jessica, Christina, Shannon (Joshua), Kaylee, Mary, and Kathleen; her son, Joseph; and her beloved granddaughter, Vera Moon.
A celebration of Mickey's life will be open to the public and held at Highland Funeral Home, 3329 E. Semoran Blvd., Apopka FL, on Tuesday November 14th from 6-8 pm. A Funeral mass will be held at Annunciation Catholic Church, 1020 Montgomery Rd., Altamonte Springs, FL, the following day, Wednesday November 15th at 1:30pm. All are welcome to attend.
