Born April 9, 1955 to parents Frank and Norma [Baker], Brad was raised to love the outdoors. In death, he has chosen to gift much of his estate to charitable organizations that work to preserve wilderness, support biodiversity, and celebrate the beauty of nature. Brad passed on June 25, 2024 after a nearly two-year struggle with glioblastomas.
Brad swam at Trinity Prep in his youth; earned degrees in Zoology (UF) and Business Administration (UCF) as a young adult; and was a proud member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. He had a lengthy career at Lockheed Martin and a lengthy list of places to see in retirement, including the Panama Canal; Alaska; and Banff and Lake Louise in Canada. If you couldn't find Brad outside in his yard, you'd find him at a state or national park. Wekiwa Springs was a particular favorite for canoeing and reminding family members that alligators won't bother you unless you bother them.
Brad is survived by his mother and his children, Shawna, Jennifer, and Zachary. In lieu of flowers, and in complement to his chosen charities, please consider planting trees in his memory through The Arbor Day Foundation (https://shop.arborday.org/commemorative-trees-for-others?producttype=TIM).
Funeral Services to be held privately at the convenience of the family.
