It is with deep sadness that the family of Claudia Grace Blaske, announces her passing.
Claudia, 71, of Longwood, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully in her sleep on February 11, 2019. She is survived by Thomas, her devoted husband of 53 years. She is the loving mother of Catherine, Cecilia (Dan), Claudia, and Jennifer (Eric). Cherished grandmother of Isa, Daniel, Thomas, and Jillian. Adored sister of Lisa (Joseph), Samuel (Nancy) and brother in law, Stanley (Marcella). She was also blessed with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Claudia was born on December 9, 1947, in Brooklyn, NY to Celia and Vito Cipriano. She grew up in Franklin Square, NY and married the love of her life, Tom, on June 12, 1965. They raised their family in Central Islip, NY. Claudia and Tom both retired from the New York Post at the end of 2012 and moved to Longwood, FL.
In her retirement, Claudia loved cooking for her family and making sure they had everything they needed. She was a faithful member of Annunciation Catholic Church. We take comfort knowing that she joins her parents in heaven.
Visitation to be held on Wednesday, February 20, 2019, from 6-8 pm at Highland Memorial Gardens, 3329 East Semoran Boulevard, Apopka, FL 32703. A funeral mass will be held at 10 am on Thursday, February 21, 2019, at Annunciation Catholic Church, 1020 Montgomery Road, Altamonte Springs, FL 32714. Interment immediately following at Highland Memorial Gardens.
