David L. Barker, a beloved husband, son, father, & grandfather, effortlessly sold his way into the hearts of many. Born on May 19, 1934, David lived a full and remarkable life, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the pleasure of crossing his path. David passed away peacefully on Monday, January 1, 2024 at the age of 89, with his beloved wife of 34 years by his side.
David embraced his community and dedicated his life to being a compassionate and hardworking individual. His determination and unwavering commitment to excellence were evident. His profound knowledge and expertise made him a pillar in his field, earning David the utmost respect of his colleagues and clients.
As a proud veteran, David served his country with honor in the Army. His selflessness and courage during his time in service exemplified his unwavering dedication to protecting the freedoms we hold dear.
David's legacy of love and devotion extended beyond his professional achievements. He cherished his role as a loving husband to his spouse Johanna Barker and always treasured the bond they shared. Their union was a testament to their profound commitment and unwavering love for one another.
David's memory will forever be etched in the hearts of his surviving relatives, including his adoring spouse Johanna Barker; a daughter, Joy Barker; 2 sons, Tom (Barbara) & Tim (Liene) Barker; numerous grandchildren, & 1 great-grandchild.
The family will recieve friends on Wednesday, January 17th from 3-7pm at Highland Funeral Home, 3329 E. Semoran Blvd., Apopka FL. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 18th, 10am at Annunciation Catholic Church, 1020 Montgomery Rd., Altamonte Springs, FL. Please assemble at church.
In accordance with David's wishes, his final resting place will be at Highland Memory Gardens, 3329 E. Semoran Boulevard, Apopka, FL.
Mr. Barker enjoyed being a sacristan at Annunciation Catholic Church where he also served as an usher for many years. His legacy shines bright, and his memory will forever inspire those whose lives he touched. May he rest peacefully and may his spirit continue to guide and protect all those who loved him.
