Doris Whelan

Doris Mae Whelan, age 94, a resident of Sorrento, Florida, passed away on October 24, 2021. She lived her life for the Lord and her family and resided in several states across the country including New York, Washington, California, Colorado, and Florida. In her personal and professional life in the medical field, she was dedicated to helping others.
She is survived by seven children, Doug, Dan, and Ted Black, Sandy Steadman, Bonnie Temple, Sheryl Strom, Shelley DiAngelo, 17 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Glenn Whelan and son Daryl Whelan.
Visiting hours will take place at Highlands Funeral Home at 3329 East Semoran Boulevard, Apopka, Florida 32703, on November 2, 2021, from 12:00 PM until services start at 1:00 PM. Her Burial will follow at 2:00 PM at Highland Memory Gardens, at the same location.
