Dothnie Smith

February 28, 1930 — July 7, 2025

Dothnie Loretta Smith of Apopka passed away on July 7, 2025 at 3:55 pm.

Dothnie was born to the late Richardson Lincoln Parkinson and Lilian Parkinson in Jamaica on Feburary 28, 1930.

Grandma Dot as she was affectionately called, married Melvin Charles Smith on June 25, 1961 and from this union there were three lovely children - Joseph, Helena and Shirley.

In 1980, Charles and Dothnie relocated to the United States of America.

Dothnie was an active member of the Boynton Beach SDA church and later the Apopka SDA church. Dothnie lovingly shared her passion for God with everyone she met.

Dothnie is survived by son Joseph, daughters Helena and Shirley, grandaughters Stefanie, Chelsea and Sarah.
