Elijah enlisted in the Marine Corps during the Korean conflict. During his lifetime he worked as a crop duster and electrician. His true passion, though, was flying. He would look up every time he heard an airplane passing overhead.

Elijah will forever be remembered for his love of family and cherished by his surviving relatives to include his brother Charles Davis (Yvonne), daughter Pamela Owens, son Timothy Davis (Debra), his grandson William Owens (Christina), granddaughters Megan Davis, Katherine Isaac (Andrew), Jennifer Ware (Derek) as well as great-grandchildren Eleanor, Evelyn, Elaine and David Isaac. His memory will be cherished by his friends and community, who were touched by his kind and selfless nature.

A Graveside Service to honor Elijah's life will be held on October 24, 2023, at 10:00 am at Greenwood Cemetery, located at 1603 Greenwood St., Orlando, FL 32801. The ceremony will be a beautiful tribute to a life well-lived, where family and friends will gather to share stories, reminisce, and find solace in their collective love and memories of Elijah.

In recognition of his service, a flag-draped coffin will accompany him on his final journey, symbolizing his unwavering patriotism and commitment to protecting his fellow citizens.

During this difficult time, our thoughts and prayers are with Elijah's loved ones as they navigate the pain of their loss. May they find comfort in the memories shared and the knowledge that Elijah's spirit will forever reside in their hearts.

In Elijah's memory, donations can be made to the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) to support the noble work they do in honoring and assisting veterans who have served our nation.

Rest in peace, Dad. Your wings may have come to a rest, but your spirit will forever soar in our hearts.
