Emilia Valentin

Emilia R. Valentin, 78, of Altamonte Springs, FL passed away peacefully on
February 14, 2022 in the hospital with her family by her side. Emilia was born Jan.
25, 1944 in Barranquitas, Puerto Rico to Maximino Rivera Sr and Marcelina Rivera.
Emilia moved from Puerto Rico to Connecticut at the age of 12 with her family. In
1963, she met her husband Juan C. Valentin and after dating for three years, they
got married on December 22, 1966 in New Haven, CT. They shared a wonderful
marriage for 55 years and they were blessed with three children, Damien, Emilia and
Anita.
Emilia is known as a loving and caring woman with a warm smile. Emilia was
a devoted Catholic who found peace within her prayers. She enjoyed spending time
in her garden tending to her many plants. She loved most of all to spend time with
her family. Whether going on brunch dates with her sisters and daughters, or going
shopping for any occasion with her loved ones. Emilia kept all her loved ones in her
prayers and her heart open to anyone in need.
Emilia is survived by her husband, Juan Valentin. Her brothers and sisters; Aida Ortiz, Carmen Martinez, Victor Rivera, Cecilia Rey, Margaro Rivera, Olga Rivera, Gilbert Rivera, Ada Rivera, and Norma Perez. Her children, Damien Valentin,
Emilia Valentin and Anita Valentin-Colon. Her grandchildren, Kevin Antrum, Julian McGee, Christian Valentin, Mariah Lindo and Anastasia Valentin.
Her Great Grandchildren; Kiamora Antrum, Kevin Antrum Jr., and Ava McGee.
Emilia was preceded in death by her parents Maximino Rivera Sr. and
Marcelina Rivera, and brothers, Maximino Rivera Jr. and Louis Alberto Rivera.
