John Boniello, 90, passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at 8:04pm, surrounded by family, at his home. He was born on January 10, 1928, in Eastchester, New York, the son of Gaetano and Rosina (Serino) Boniello. He was raised on a large family farm in Mahopac, with his 4 brothers and 2 sisters. John married his high school sweetheart, RoseMarie Giuliani, and they had 4 children. He was a loving and devoted husband and father. In 1956, the Boniello's relocated to Fort Lauderdale and founded Boniello Homes, Inc, a building and land development company. By virtue of hard work, that business became very successful.

He served as a Director of the Board for Sunniland Bank in Ft Lauderdale. He donated the Rodeo of the Risen Christ to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, as well as 3 stained windows to St. Colman's Catholic Church in Pompano Beach. He contributed his time as well, serving as a National Trustee for the Order Sons of Italy of America, State Florida Trustee, Trustee of the lodge in Deltona, FL, and President of the local lodge in Boca Raton, FL for 5 years. He spear-headed many fundraisers for the Grand Lodge, as well as being a founding father, along with his family, for perpetual scholarships with the Snow Foundation and the Boca Raton lodge. He also donated new Regalia to the Boca Raton lodge in honor of his father, Gaetano Boniello, and his father-in-law, Raul Giuliani. His financial contributions to the Grand Lodge of Florida are numerous and included funding a perpetual scholarship in honor of RoseMarie for the study of Italian language. He was awarded for distinguished fraternal service and was named as "Man of the Year."
John embraced life and was the perfect combination of loving, funny, and sincere. He had a generosity that was constant. He loved his family beyond measure.
Besides his parents, John was predeceased by his son, John, and his brother, Louis. He is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, RoseMarie, his daughters and their husbands, Richard and Rosalene Feller, John and Tana Mitchell, Dr. John and Louise Prairie; his daughter-in-law, Christine Boniello; his grandchildren and their spouses, Eddie and Louise Bannister, Robert and Emily Robes, Richard Feller, Thomas and Ananda Robes, Rob and Rosemarie Reeves, Bryan and Maryanne Zornik, Kathryn and Brian Tomlinson, AnnaMarie Mitchell, Laura Mitchell, Juliana Mitchell, John Boniello, Anthony Boniello; 17 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; his brothers Gus Boniello, Angelo Boniello; his sisters, Louise Dring, Angelina Pielli: as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members in Florida, New York and Italy.
