Born July 23, 1960 went to be with the Lord Jesus February 5, 2022
Glenn R. Amore was born July 23, 1960, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. His family included older siblings brother Vince, sister Carol and younger brother Gary. He grew up in Churchill Borough, attended Central High School and graduated from Geneva College with a civil engineering degree. His career started in Texas and eventually led him to Orlando, Florida working for Don Moe Engineering. His career continued with working for TLC and then GTA. Becoming an engineer fulfilled his dream of working towards building his own engineering consulting firm, Amore Engineering Inc., established in 1997 to the present. Glenn's numerous projects included Maitland City Hall, numerous car dealerships, fire stations, Stetson College Aquatic Center, and multiple structural studies in buildings in Central Florida. His work reflected his high standards and attention to details which lead to his success and great relationships with clients.
Glenn's spiritual walk as a Christian started in Pittsburgh at age 18 in a Young Life program and was encouraged during his years in college. When he moved to Florida, his faith grew while attending First Baptist Church Orlando. In the church's singles small group, he met the love of his life, Boots Ellington. He and Boots enjoyed 31 blessed years of marriage, and the gift of their daughter Angela in 1993. Glenn lovingly often quoted, "she's got me wrapped around her little finger."
Later, the family settled in Winter Garden where they attended First Baptist Church of Winter Garden for 23 years. Glenn loved serving in children's church, the Awana program, youth mentorship and as a deacon. He had a generous heart for his church and for ministries in Haiti and the Central Florida Pregnancy Center.
One of Glenn's favorite verses is:
Ephesians 2:8-9, "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast."
Glenn is survived by his wife Boots Amore and daughter Angela Amore, his siblings Vince, Carol, and Gary (Cindi and Amanda, Alexis Amore), in-laws Latrelle Holley, Windy Collins (Bob), Mike Ellington, Delana, Christian, Julie (Boone) and Justin (Johnson).

Glenn was a loving Christian husband, father and fix it man. We will all miss him, his love for God and the stand he had for the truth of God's Word, Glenns' laugh and love for life, dogs, and for the PGH Steelers.

Celebration of life will be on February 26, 2022, at First Baptist Church of Winter Garden, Florida, 34787, at 11 a.m. followed by a grave side service at Highland Memory Gardens 407-869-1188.
