Iris Verdeen White

Iris White, age 92, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2026, in Altamonte Springs, Florida, surrounded by the love of her family and under the gentle care of hospice.

Born in Belleville, Kansas on September 7, 1934, Iris lived a wonderful life defined by her strength and deep devotion to her family. She was a private woman who never sought the spotlight, finding comfort in the warmth of her home and the family she cherished so deeply.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 73 years, Leon White; her loving children, Terri Stevens and her husband Darren, and Rodney White; her two grown grandsons and their wives, Dustin and Amanda Stevens, and Kyle and Megan Stevens; and her seven precious great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her later years. She also leaves behind a small circle of extended family members.

In keeping with her private nature and wishes, a private family service will be held in the chapel at Highland Funeral Home to honor her life and envelope her in love one final time.
