Jimmy Manasco

Arlington TX.; formerly of Orlando, FL.

Jimmy Lee Manasco passed away on December 26, 2022 with loving family by his side. Born in the small town of Vandervoort, Arkansas August 17th, 1936 he was a graduate of Vandervoort High School.
With great determination, he enlisted in the United States Army for three years. After the Army, he enlisted in the United States Navy, in which he retired after 22 years of service.
In his mid 40's he still wanted more for his family and his future. He went on to study at a private school; Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. He graduated with honors on the Dean's list.
Following his studies at Rollins he went on to Valencia Community College to finish up his masters in education. He taught middle school math for 7 years at Walker Jr. High School and later taught Algebra at Edgewater High School where he retired.
After retirement, Jimmy's love of golf led him to volunteer at The Starter Shack, where he supported his community and continued to golf in his spare time.
Jimmy was a friend to many and enjoyed spending time catching up over coffee at his favorite local coffee shops.
Jimmy is preceded in passings by his beautiful wife Ann, the love of his life. There was not anything that he would not do for his family. He is survived by his daughter, Cassandra Lee Lemons (Robert) of Deland, Florida and Son, James Edward Manasco (Deborah) of Arlington, Texas; his grandchildren, Jennifer A. Jones, Derek L. Manasco, Darrin L. Manasco, Rachel R. Manasco and Renae K. Manasco as well as his two great grandchildren, Michael D. Owens III and Dylan R. Owens.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 4th from 4-7pm at Highland Funeral Home, 3329 E. Semoran Blvd., Apopka, FL. Burial services will take place on Thursday, January 5th, 10am at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Rd., Gotha FL.
Jimmy Lee Manasco was a loving, dedicated family man with a kind heart. He will be missed by many and forgotten by none.
