John Fernando

John Amal Udayashanth Fernando ,age 57 of Orlando , FL , passed away on November 23rd, 2022 after a long battle with many diabetes related complications.

Amal was born on October 11th 1965 in Colombo, Sri Lanka to parents Late Lancelot Fernando and Sheila Fernando. After graduating from St. Thomas College, he achieved a decorated 20 year career as a Manager for multiple Tea Plantations. Amal immigrated to the United States along with his family in 2009.

Amal loved music, and loved playing the piano. His son Anushka was the light of his life, and he cherished his relationship with his family and friends. He was an amazing Son, Husband, Father , Brother , Uncle , Cousin and Friend. He touched the life of so many people. He will truly be missed and will never be forgotten.

Amal is predeceased by his Father Lancelot Fernando. He is survived by his wife Shanika , Son Anushka , Mother Sheila , Sisters Ranmali and Dilini , Brothers Malindra, Ravindra and Lackshmindra. In Laws Geethani , Roshanthi , Dilani , Shiran , Devkumar, Tiran , Liza, Rusiri, Mohani, Suneedha, Ray and Percy. Along with many nieces and nephews.
