Joseph Colarusso

Joseph Louis Colarusso, passed away on December 29, 2023, at the age of 88 in Orlando, Florida. Born on November 8, 1935, in Beacon, New York, Joseph led a life of honor, responsibility, and unwavering loyalty.

Joseph's proudest role was that of a loving father and husband. He is survived by his devoted wife, Yolanda Colarusso; daughter Yolanda Marie Colarusso, and a son, Louis Colarusso. Joseph cherished his family above all else and instilled in them the values of integrity, resilience, and love.

Having served his country with unwavering dedication, Joseph was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corp. His commitment to his fellow servicemen and women was unmatched, and his patriotism is a testament to his character.

A public viewing to pay respects and bid farewell to Joseph will be held on January 5, 2024, starting at 10:30 am at Highland Funeral Home, 339 E. Semoran Blvd., Apopka FL. Friends, family, and colleagues are invited to gather during this time to share fond memories and offer support to the grieving family.

Following the public viewing, a Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 pm at St. James Cathedral, 215 N. Orange Ave. Orlando, FL. 32801. Joseph will be laid in Highland Memory Gardens, Apopka FL. This final act of love and remembrance will provide closure for family and friends as they bid their final farewell to a man who truly embodied the values of honor, integrity, and family.

In honor of Joseph's service to his country, the family kindly requests that donations be made in his memory to the Wounded Warrior Project or any charity supporting veterans.

Joseph Louis Colarusso will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His legacy of love, strength, and dedication will continue to inspire and guide us all. May his soul find eternal peace in the company of his fellow heroes.
