JOSEPH PETER COTRONEO, JR.
Joseph was born on Dec. 30, 1958 in Brooklyn, New York to Joseph P. Cotroneo Sr. and Marie Ambrose Cotroneo. He spent his early years in Brooklyn and in Selden, Long Island. In 1966, Joseph moved with his family to Orlando, Florida.
In his youth Joseph was very active in little league, usually with his father as the coach. He loved the beach and he loved to swim. He graduated from Lake Brantley High School and attended the University of Central Florida. After spending several years at Walt Disney World, he worked at a variety of small businesses. He then became a contract courier. With government security clearances, he delivered to NASA, Lockheed Martin and other government agencies and contractors. In addition, he was an on-call courier to ferry incoming and outgoing organ donations.
Joseph maintained his love of sports throughout his life, especially professional baseball and Florida State athletics. In his spare time, he invested in start- up enterprises. He also became interested in the history of Christianity and read and maintained a large volume of books on this subject.
But most of all, Joseph dedicated the majority of his adult life to the care of his aging parents. Without his constant love, care and attention, Joe Sr. and Marie would never have lived as long as they did. His brothers are deeply indebted to him for the sacrifices he made.
Joseph is pre-deceased by his parents Joe Sr. and Marie, and is survived by his brothers Peter, Nicholas and Vincent, and three nieces and five nephews.
