Joseph "Scott" Samson (July 18, 1964 - May 3, 2025)

  Scott passed into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior on May 3, 2025. Born in Cleveland OH, Scott also lived in Ann Arbor, MI, Rockford IL, Nashua NH and, for the past 34 years, in Apopka FL.

  An avid sports fan, Scott followed his University of Michigan Wolverines and Detroit Lions with gusto. He worked for many years for the United States Postal Service in Nashua and in Apopka. He loved to cook, travel, bowl, read, play at Disney World, and spend time with his family and friends. He is survived by his parents, Robert and Andrea Samson; his sister, Elizabeth Muckler (John); nephews Richard Hildebrand (Heather) and Jacob Hildebrand (Lea); and his grand-niece, Francesca, whom he adored; many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and faithful friends. Scott's wonderful smile, quick wit, unending kindness and generosity, incredible courage, deep faith and warm hugs will live in our hearts forever.

  A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, 11am at Highland Funeral Home and Memory Gardens, 3329 E. Semoran Blvd., Apopka FL. beginning at 11am. Fellowship and a gathering of family & friends will be held prior beginning at 10am. Scott will be laid to rest in Highland Memory Gardens, Apopka, FL. Donations may be made to St. Jude Children Hospital in Scott's memory.
