Joyce (Barlow) Lamun , 83, of Monticello, FL, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 14, 2022. She was born in Cairo, Georgia to the late AJ and Bernice (Kierce) Barlow. As a small child, she and her family moved to Lakeland, FL. She was a Majorette at Kathleen High School from where she graduated. Joyce was an active member of Trinity Baptist Church in Apopka. She worked in the nursery at the church and enjoyed enjoyed caring for the babies and children. She was also very involved with the PTA while her daughters were in school. Joyce had a giving heart and was always eager to help others any way she could. Her generosity and kindness will be missed by so many. She is survived by her loving daughters: Joy Alexander and husband David and DiAnne Stone and husband Frank; her son-in-law, Zeb Blanton; her cherished grandchildren: Mandi, Steven, David, Jeffrey, Carlynn, Allison and Michael and her six adored great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert Lamun and her daughter, Debbie Blanton. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 from 11:30am to 1:30pm at Highland Funeral Home, 3329 East Semoran Blvd, Apopka. She will be laid to rest at 2:00pm in Highland Memory Gardens.
