Leola Pertl, 104, beloved Daughter, Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother, and Wife, was called to her eternal resting place on May 15, 2025. She entered this world on April 3, 1921 in Kingman, ME, born to Frank and Leona Markie. She is survived by her daughter Denise Jones; granddaughter Danielle Trail; great-grandson Devin Simpson; great-granddaughter Jade Simpson; great-grandson Waylon Simpson. A memorial service will be held on Saturday May 31, 2025 at 2:30 at St Luke's Church 2021 West SR 426, Oviedo, FL 32765. In her honor we ask everyone to please wear Pastel Clothes. She did not like seeing everyone in black. There will be a Potluck Reception Following next door at the Lutheran Haven Fellowship Hall. The family is providing the meat and ask everyone to please bring a side dish to share. In lieu of flowers the family is asking to send a donation to the Activity or Benevolent Fund at Lutheran Haven.

Notable interests, activities, hobbies, or passions: Le loved to travel with her husband Martin and having Sister Trips was always a Hoot. She was a great storyteller as she showed family & friends pictures while laughing hysterically at certain fun moments. Le loved doing volunteer work. She continued volunteering at Lutheran Haven even up until last month at their Big Rummage Sale.
Memorable moments and achievements: Le was 1 of 14 children born & raised in Maine. She was the last of her siblings with us. In early years Le wanted to be a nurse & due to being injured by a mental patient was unable to complete this. Le & her 1st Husband Albert ran a nightclub in New York & she loved to dance! They had a daughter named Denise & a few years later she & Denise moved to Maryland. Then onto Virginia where Le worked at the Pentagon for the next 22 years she even had a higher security clearance than her husband a Full Colonel. Eventually moving to Florida in 1979 with her husband Martin. She started volunteering (later employed) by the South Seminole Christian Sharing Center working as a caseworker. Le helped many families before retiring at age 88. She has lived out her years with her daughter, granddaughter & great grandchildren. Becoming the adoptive grandmother to many others not by blood.
