Linda Lands

Ms. Linda Francis Lands (Walker) was born in Brooksville, FL to Forest T. Walker and Ila F Thomas (Mock) on February 23rd, 1957. Surrounded by family, Linda passed away on Wednesday, July 30th, 2025, peacefully in her home at the age of 68, from a rare aggressive type of cancer.

Preceded in death by her mother, Ila Thomas (Mock), and her sister Catherine Walker.

Linda was the pillar of the family who will forever be remembered for her unwavering faith in Jesus Christ, her love, patience, wisdom, since of humor and laughter. Touching the lives of all who met her.

She was a member of Evangel Assembly of God in Orlando, FL. Starting her career as an Auto Insurance Claims Adjuster while working for Budget/Avis Rent A Car, eventually retiring from The Hartford in September of 2023.

Linda leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter, Heather (Charles) Arenas of Orlando, FL, her two sons Joshua (Michelle) Wetzel of Mooresville, NC and Jeremiah Wetzel of Orlando, FL; stepbrothers, Coleman Thomas of Marianna, FL and Martin Thomas of Williston, FL; stepsisters, Veronica Whitelaw of Talbot, TN, Kitten Davis of Brooksville, Debbie Ruis and Billie Jean Mathis both of Starke, FL; nine grandchildren (who affectionately called her “Grami”), Zachary (Alondra) Kennedy of Homestead, FL, Gabrielle Rodriguez of Saint Cloud, FL, Stephen Rochefort of Orlando, FL, Johne (Melayna) Rochefort of Pueblo, CO, Wesley Wetzel of Orlando, FL, Tristan Rochefort of Orlando, FL, Dillon Wetzel of Orlando, FL, Benjamin Wetzel of Mooresville, NC, and Gabriel Wetzel of Mooresville, NC; two great granddaughter’s Aria Rochefort and Savannah Kennedy; as well as numerous extended family members and friends, all who will miss her greatly.
