Linda Youngs Tuttle

July 18, 1947 – May 7, 2025

Linda Youngs Tuttle was, in every sense of the word, the embodiment of elegance. Her wit was razor-sharp, her presence commanding, and her heart as generous as her spirit was vibrant. For over 30 years, Linda dedicated her life to education, teaching Home Economics in Seminole County at Lake Brantley High School, Greenwood Lakes Middle School, and Milwee Middle School, where she began her illustrious career. There, she empowered generations of young girls to embrace their creativity—whether in the kitchen or behind a sewing machine—with her signature blend of encouragement and style.

It was also at Milwee where she met the love of her life and her absolute best friend, Coach Allen Tuttle. Together, they shared 51 years of marriage filled with laughter, romance, and an unshakable bond. They raised one son, Robert Allen Tuttle III—known affectionately as Bobby—who remained the center of Linda’s heart and the brightest joy in her life. She proudly referred to herself as “Mommy” well into his adulthood.

Linda earned her master’s degree in the late 1980s and transitioned into educational administration as a resource teacher in Seminole County, eventually finishing her distinguished career with Orange County Public Schools, where she continued to empower young people through vocational education.

Outside the classroom, Linda was a lover of life’s finer joys: a devoted shopper, a fearless foodie, and a passionate world traveler. Of all her adventures, none delighted her more than hopping a flight to New York City to spend time with Bobby—savoring art, theater, cuisine, and culture. In the city’s bright lights and bold rhythm, Linda truly came alive.

In recent years, she shared with Bobby a viral meme that she declared her personal creed:

“Buy the shoes. Eat the cake. Take the trip.”

And she did. Every chance she got.

Countless former students who were forever changed by her presence.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, June 16th at 6:00 PM at Highland Memorial Gardens, 3329 E. Semoran Blvd., Apopka, FL 32703. All are welcome to honor a woman who brought style, substance, and soul to every room she entered.
