Today we honor and remember our beloved Mabel Hoffstead, a woman whose love touched our lives in countless ways.
Mabel was born in Negril, Jamaica, on July 25, 1943, to James Alpheus Lindsay and Dorothy Maud Beck.
Mabel was our constant-someone who gave without asking, supported without conditions, and loved without limits. Through her words and actions, she taught us what it truly means to be kind, patient, and strong. Many of the values we carry today were shaped by watching how she lived her life.
To know Mabel was to feel deeply cared for. To be her child was a gift we will always be grateful for. Though our hearts are heavy with loss, they are also full of love and memories that will remain with us forever.
We will miss her presence every day, but we find comfort in knowing that her love lives on in us and through us.
Thank you, Mommy, for everything. You will always be loved and never forgotten.
Mabel was preceded in death by her husband John and her son Joseph Hoffstead, and her cherished sister Naomi Daley.
Those who continue to carry her love are her children John and Denise Hoffstead; her grandchildren Jonathan and Jeremiah Anglin; and her siblings Denver Recas; Rogene Myrie; Glenville Lindsay; Aggrie Banks; Marilyn Lindsay; and Ladwin Lindsay.
Though we say goodbye, we trust that she is at peace in God's loving care, watching over us always.
