Marcia Jo Anderson Nesler of Sorrento, Florida, passed away peacefully at the age of 90 on June 2, 2026, from natural causes .
Born on August 26, 1935, in Topeka, Kansas . Marcia , her sister and her mother Helen Anderson Welt rode a troop train from Topeka Kansas to Huntington Beach CA when Marcia was 7 years old. She grew up in California.
Marcia lived a vibrant and full life marked by entrepreneurial spirit and a love for adventure.
She was a successful real estate entrepreneur who also explored interests in dentistry and fashion design. Known for her sharp business acumen, Marcia had a remarkable talent for identifying and making excellent investments throughout her life
She shared a deep and enduring love with her husband, John Joseph Nesler, until his passing in 2007. Together they enjoyed many happy years of ballroom dancing, traveling across the country to attend dances. An avid traveler who cherished the outdoors, Marcia spent countless hours exploring the United States in their RV, discovering beautiful places to enjoy nature, dance, and savor good food. She also had a great passion for jazz music and fashion. Standing over six feet tall, Marcia's elegant style and long dancing legs never failed to turn heads.
She was a keen card player who loved bridge and Rummikub bringing joy and friendly competition to those around her.
Marcia is survived by her sister, Pamela Kay Ensley; her son, John Joseph Nesler, Jr.; her daughter, Rona Lynn Kresyman; granddaughters Megan Marie Donaldson, Kelli Frances Dykes, and Emily Lynn Donaldson; grandson Bryan Alexander Nesler; great-grandsons Gabriel Eugene Hoffman and Liam Ryan Moran; great-granddaughters Lola Jane Moran, Harper Lynn Dykes, and MacKenzie Jane Casey.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at 12:00 PM Eastern Time at Highland Funeral Home Chapel, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 PM and burial at the cemetery at 3:00 PM.
