Mary Habib

Mary Bouz Habib, 94 of Longwood Florida passed away to be with the Lord on Thursday January 9th, 2020.

Born on January 1st of 1926 in Al-Jinaineh, District of Baniyas on the Mediterranean Sea of Syria to Qablan Bouz and Hanneh Kisar, Christians of the Maronite Catholic faith. The oldest of six children, she completed school to the fifth grade and spoke Arabic and French fluently. She was married in 1942 to Abdallah Hanna Habib, Christian Orthodox, in Kameshly, Syria. She is survived by her sister Jouhaina and brother George, 4 sons Amid, medical doctor, retired, Mufid, airline pilot, retired, Walid and Majid, 2 daughters Laila and Lily, 7 grandchildren, Mousa, Youlla, Rolla, Boushra, Daniel, David and Shaun, 3 great grandchildren Housam, Salim and Nour.

She moved to the United States to live with her son Amid after her husband passed away in 1987 and became a U.S. Citizen in 2002.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2019, 12:30pm at Annunciation Catholic Church, 1020 Montgomery Rd., Altamonte Springs, FL. 32714. Mrs. Habib will be laid to rest in Highland Memory Gardens, Apopka, FL. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to: United People in Christ, Inc., PO Box 162601, Altamonte Springs. FL 32716.
