Mary Lucinda Parker, 81, of Maitland, Florida, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2026. Born on September 28, 1944, Mary lived a life defined by her deep faith, devotion to her family, and commitment to serving others and her country.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, William and Regina Oyster; her beloved daughter, Katherine Elizabeth Parker; and her brother, Charles Oyster.

Mary leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love and devotion. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Peter Parker, who was the center of her world. She will be forever cherished by her children, Carrie Glatting and her husband, Jeff, and Derek Parker and his wife, Angie. Mary was a proud grandmother to Caitlyn Glatting and her husband, Chuck; Claire Glatting; and Jeffrey Glatting; and a loving great-grandmother to Marigold.

She is also survived by her siblings, James Oyster and his wife, Betty; Rebecca Crabtree; Don Oyster and his wife, Betty; Dan Oyster and his wife, Becky; and Larry Oyster and his wife, Melanie; along with her sister-in-law, Pegge Parker, and brother-in-law, Jim Parker.

Mary proudly served as a veteran of the United States Navy, where she served as a dental hygienist. Her commitment to service continued throughout her civilian life through her church, where she was a vibrant, active, and cherished member of the congregation for many years. A woman of deep faith, Mary found great joy in her relationship with God and in sharing that faith with those around her.

Mary was also a true Disney World enthusiast. She loved riding the rides, strolling through the parks, and simply enjoying the magic of Disney with the people she loved. She was passionate about giving back to her community as well, volunteering for several years with the Adult Literacy League, where she helped adults improve their literacy skills and gain confidence through learning.

Above all, Mary was a devoted presence in the lives of those she loved. She always took the time to listen, learn about the people around her, and make each person feel important and genuinely cared for. She was especially enthusiastic in supporting her grandchildren, proudly cheering them on at their school events throughout the years.

Mary's kindness, faith, and warmth will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her. Her greatest legacy will live on in the family she loved so dearly and in the many lives she touched throughout her life.
