Mary Ann Hamil Wilson, age 79, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2018, surrounded by family.
Mary Ann was born March 22, 1939 to Russell and Lola Hamil. She was born and raised in New Edinburg, Arkansas alongside her brother, Jim. She married Marlin D. ("Dale") Wilson on May 29, 1955. She spent most of her adult life in the Orlando area where she raised three sons. She did so while also working outside the home initially for an architecture firm and then for more than 20 years as a bookkeeper/accountant for the law firm of Wooten, Honeywell & Kest, P.A. (now Wooten Kimbrough, P.A.).
Mary Ann loved to spend time with her family. She was kind hearted and always encouraged those around her. Mary Ann loved to laugh and carried a twinkle in her eye. She grew up playing piano in her church and often told how she avoided doing the dinner dishes by entertaining her family on the piano.
Mary Ann is survived by her three sons - Gregory Dale Wilson (Orlando), Joe Glen Wilson (Orlando), Gary D. and Betsy Wilson (Maitland); as well as grandchildren - Patrick Boyd Wilson (Killen, TX), Scott Van Hook Wilson (Charleston, SC), Andrew Hamil and Maddie Wilson (Atlanta, GA), and Caroline Elizabeth Wilson (Maitland).
A celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, December 28th, at Orangewood Church (1300 W. Maitland Blvd, Maitland, FL), with a reception to follow at Orangewood. Interment will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Park (2300 Temple Dr, Winter Park, FL) with a graveside service at 2:00 pm where she will be laid to rest next to her late husband, Dale.
