On February 28, 2022, Maximiliana Acosta peacefully passed away in her home at the age of 73. Her daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were by her side during her final moments to honor her fully lived life. She was born in Cusco, Peru and became a successful businesswoman in the textile industry. As her family moved to the United States, she also followed and settled first in Miami, FL and then in Apopka, FL.
She was called "Mami Maxi" by her family, but to others she was also teacher, missionary, evangelist, worshipper, and warrior. She had a serving heart and always worked for the Lord through serving at her church, and going on missions trips around the world. Her home was always filled with music and laughter as she praised and danced for the Lord. Her smile and joy were infectious and would always have a word of encouragement for those that needed it. She loved the outdoors, nature, and traveling to new places. Every trip she took, she always brought her family along. It is those memories that stand with them forever.
Maxi led by example and she leaves a legacy that will go down from generation to generation. She has planted seeds into the lives of many and also changed the hearts of many. Even though she will be missed, her friends and family will always remember her for who she was, until they see each other again in heaven.
