Michael R. Crearer was born on October 24, 1965, on the beautiful island of Jamaica, where the warmth of the Caribbean sun and the spirit of its people shaped the remarkable man he would become. In 1977, at the age of eleven, Mike immigrated to the United States to join his mother and four siblings, beginning a new chapter filled with determination, hard work, and an unbreakable will.
Mike was a man of extraordinary discipline and talent. He earned the prestigious rank of Fifth Degree Black Belt in Karate, competing in and winning numerous tournaments his trophy collection a lasting testament to his dedication and skill. He proudly served his adopted country as a member of the United States Navy, a service that reflected his sense of duty, honor, and commitment.
A gifted, self-taught artist and automobile mechanic, Mike channeled his passion and skill into entrepreneurship, founding Mike’s Autobody. His business was built on the same principles that guided his life: craftsmanship, integrity, and pride in his work. Those who knew Mike understood that whatever he set his hands to, he gave it everything he had.
Beyond his many accomplishments, Mike was beloved for his generous spirit and his gift for bringing people together. He delighted in cooking his signature spicy jerk chicken and hot pepper shrimp for family and friends a taste of his Jamaican roots that filled every gathering with warmth, laughter, and the aromas of home. Mike lived boldly and loved deeply, and those around him were always better for his presence.
For five years, Mike fought ALS with the same fierce courage that defined every chapter of his life. Those who witnessed his journey know the depth of his strength and the grace with which he faced each difficult day. On March 14, 2026, his battle ended. While it is painful to say goodbye, we take comfort in knowing that his suffering has ceased, his spirit is now free, and he is in a far better place.
Mike was predeceased by his father, Clinton Crearer, and his stepfather, Ronald Beckford.
