Michael Maleski

Michael Maleski, 73, of Apopka, FL passed away Thursday, March 28, 2019. He was the supportive and loving husband of Mary Burkholder Maleski and caring father of Kara Charboneau and Kellee Maleski. Michael lived his younger years in Long Island, NY with his parents Michael and Cecilia along with his brother, Richard, and sister, Donna. He moved to Florida following his time in the US Army during the Vietnam War. While working at Southland Food Distributors of Orlando he met Mary and they wed in 1975. They moved to Apopka where they lived ever since.
Michael was an avid bowler and golfer and enjoyed going to the casinos to wrestle with the "one-armed bandits." He also enjoyed going on cruises and had an abundant knowledge of cruise ships.
All services will be held at Highland Funeral Home and Memory Gardens in Apopka, FL with family available to receive friends Tuesday, April 2, 2019, from 5-7pm. A graveside ceremony and bon voyage will be held Wednesday, April 3 at 11am.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the National Kidney Foundation at kidney.org.
