Miriam Gonzalez

Mrs. Miriam Angela Gonzalez was born in NY, New York to Juan and Isabel Santiago on May 16, 1949. She was married to Rafael Gonzalez, Sr. on December 27, 1969 in New York. She passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2021.

Miriam was educated in the Public Schools of New York and continued her Higher Education within a CNA program to pursue her heart’s desire to serve and help others.

Miriam worked as a nurse with the New York school system for numerous years and enjoy it to the fullest.

Miriam’s hobbies included shopping, fashion, crafting, decorating and planning for parties, and talking on the phone with her friends.

Miriam as we know her had a very joyful spirit with a smile always on her face. She enjoyed the musical sounds of Salsa and Latin Music. Marc Anthony was definitely her favorite Musical Artist. Lastly, she was very passionate about spreading extra joy during the holidays.

Miriam was predeceased by her Husband; Rafael Gonzalez Sr., Parents; Juan and Isabel Santiago, Brother; Johnnie Santiago.

Miriam is survived by: Brothers: Robert Santiago, Pedro Navarro, Son: Rafael Gonzalez Jr, Daughter: Jenice Green, Son in Law Barry Green, Grandchildren: Lasinda Gonzalez, Davani Gonzalez, Jezziah Lindsley, Great Grandchildren: Alani Vazquez, Mason Hernandez, Special Daughter: Jennifer Gonzalez and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, extended family, and friends.

We honor the life of Mrs. Miriam Angela Gonzalez and we know that she was loved dearly.

The family of Miriam Gonzalez wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Florida Living Nursing Home (Advent Health Care Center) who took excellent care of Miriam Gonzalez for 20 years. And we will like to thank Highland Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home for their services and support.
