Monserrate M. Matias was born to Josefa Carrión and Jose Miró in San Juan PR August 1st, 1925 and passed away on Nov 2, 2021 in Apopka Florida.
She attended school at Antillian College, Santa Clara Cuba.
She lived in New York City where she met her husband.
She moved from New York to Boston in 1971 and then to Orlando Florida in 1976. She loved music..learning to play the saxophone at the age 70 and doing missionary work for the Lord.
She is survived by her son, Francisco Matias Jr and his wife, Linda Lopez Matias.
Her daughter, Judith (Josefine) Damaris Matias .
Her two grandsons..Nicholas Anthony Matias and his wife Jessica Matias and grandson...Eric Michael Matias.
She was preceded in death by her brother Jose Miró and her husband of 48 years, Francisco Matias Balaguer.
