Nadine Amoy Clue: A Legacy of Faith, Excellence, and Grace By Andrea Wong Shue, Sister-Cousin

Nadine Amoy Clue was born on December 12, 1973, at 52 Weymouth Drive in St. Andrew, Jamaica. The third child of Audrey and Roderick Clue, Nadine shared a birthday with her sister Debbie—just three years apart—a bond that made her affectionately known as “Debbie’s gift.” She grew up in a loving household alongside siblings Sean, Debbie, Andrea (sister-cousin), and Kayonn.

Her academic journey began at Miss Henry’s Basic School and flourished through Waltham Educational Center, Richmond Park Primary, and Queen’s High School for Girls, where she blossomed into the confident, creative soul we all cherished.

With a passion for business, Nadine pursued Marketing at the University of Technology while rising through the ranks at National Commercial Bank. Her drive led her to Millingen Architects, where she served as Office Manager and Administrator to the CEO. It was here that her interest in Management Information Systems (MIS) was sparked, prompting her to further explore the field through a course at Excelsior Community College.

Determined to deepen her expertise, Nadine enrolled at Florida International University (FIU), earning her bachelor’s in business administration with honors in 2003. She continued at FIU’s Chapman Graduate School of Business, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a remarkable GPA of 3.98. Her academic excellence earned her membership in Beta Gamma Sigma and the Golden Key International Honour Society.

Professionally, Nadine held roles as a Technical Engineer at The Answer Group, Support Services Manager at Conquest Technology Services, and Project Manager at Realxposure Inc. While navigating the challenges of building a life in the United States, she remained resilient, adaptable, and full of grace.

Nadine’s life was anchored in faith. Guided by her personal mantra, “Be kind; you could be entertaining angels,” she radiated compassion and generosity. Her spiritual foundation—laid by her parents and nurtured through family prayer and Bible study—gave her strength and purpose. She built lasting friendships through Intervarsity Christian Fellowship and the Gospel Choir, always uplifting those around her.

Linda was Nadin’s childhood friend and spent much time together with her at each other’s house. She recounts that back then they were heavily involved in church and Nads was the one operating in the gifts of the Spirit as a teenager.

She notes that there was a point in time when they lost touch for a short while, but when we connected it was clear that we had a lifetime of memories that they had shared together.

She further notes that Nads was a bright, tenacious intelligent woman who was articulate and a fighter. She always said, ‘mom may have, dad may have but blessed is the child who has her own.’

On September 30, Nadine transitioned peacefully in her sleep to glory. Though her absence leaves a deep void, we celebrate the radiant light she brought into our lives and the enduring legacy of love, faith, and excellence she leaves behind.

Rest in peace, dear sister-cousin and friend. You will always be missed, always be cherished, and always be remembered.
