Nelson Corchado

Nelson Corchado, 59, of Amherst, New Hampshire and recently of Altamonte Springs, Florida passed away August 5 from Alzheimer’s Disease.

He was born May 16,1964 to Florencio Rafael and Elisa Maria Corchado in the Bronx, N.Y.  After Nelson graduated with honors from Adlai E. Stevenson High School, he went on to study software and systems engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.  He was an original refounder of the Phi Iota Alpha Latin fraternity there.

After graduating, he went on to a 28-year career as a Systems Analyst, including 22 years at Fidelity Investments.

In 1989, he met Wendy Mahin at the Boston Worship Center. They were married for 34 happy years.  They were blessed with two children, Kelly and Nelson.

Nelson was predeceased by his parents, Florencio Rafael Corchado and Maria Elisa Corchado.  He is survived by his 2 children, Kelly Maria Corchado and Nelson Daniel Corchado, as well as 8 siblings and their families: Rafael Corchado, Nancy Musacchio, William Corchado, Liz Corchado Torres, Monique Lucia Corchado, Darline Elisa Corchado and Hunter Aston Corchado.

Nelson was a devoted Man of God and family man, whose favorite titles were husband, father, brother and friend.
