Noel Greaves, age 91, was peacefully called home to be with the Lord on May 28, 2026.
Born on December 18, 1934, Noel was the child of Edmund and Muriel Greaves.
Noel is survived by spouse Evelyn Greaves; children Keith Greaves (Janet) and Paul Greaves; grandson Keegan; and granddaughter Jenna. Noel is also survived by brother Sydney (Dickie) and sisters Margaret (Minty), Norma (Betty), Patsy, and Marjorie (Mage).
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 13, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Noel was a devoted follower of Christ whose life reflected faith, service, and love for others. He was known for a sincere desire to lead and encourage those around him in their walk with the Lord. A hardworking and steadfast presence, Noel served as a source of strength for family, friends, and community.
Noel faithfully prayed for others and shared daily prayers as an expression of care and devotion. A gifted storyteller, Noel was fondly remembered for the familiar words, "I know." He found joy in gardening, accounting, and caring for his home.
Noel served as a deacon at Mount Carey Baptist Church in Jamaica, where Edmund Greaves preached, and later worshiped faithfully as a choir member at Trinity Baptist Church in Apopka.
Cooking, especially stew peas, was among his joys. Above all, Noel gave thanks to God for a 69-year marriage, having married Evelyn on September 25, 1957, and for the blessing of children Keith and Paul, daughter-in-law Janet, and beloved grandchildren Keegan and Jenna.
"Well done, good and faithful servant... Enter into the joy of your Lord." - Matthew 25:21
May Noel's life of faith and service encourage all who knew him to walk faithfully with the Lord until reunited again in His presence.
