Noelia Lopez

On behalf of my mother Noelia, we want to express our gratitude for all your support and loving prayers that touched our entire family,

It is with great sadness and a broken heart I announce.

Noelia Lopez age 71 passed away on June 2, 2023, after a 13-year battle with breast cancer.

Noelia was born in Puerto Rico on February 3, 1952, she was one of Six siblings. Noelia’s mother was Isabell Mendez Jimenez and her father Eugene Jimenez, Noelia and her 2 siblings Hector and Lucy were raised by their grandparents.

Noelia Lucy and Hector were taught to work hard, at a very early age they had to contribute to the cooking, cleaning, in the home and even working in the coffee fields.  Noelia quickly learned her grandmother's recipes and became the favorite cook in the house. Noelia loved her siblings, she was always warm-hearted and tolerant, but she also had a hot temper.  She was known to be a rebel and was not to be messed with. Noelia was Married twice and had four children. 3 daughters and 1 son that She adored.

Noelia’s Children & Grandkids Were Her Top Priority in Life!

 Noelia wanted to make sure her children were always well taken care of, so she devoted her life to her children. Noelia was the most selfless person I knew; she became a full-time babysitter to earn extra cash so that she can contribute to the household, this made her feel independent even though she was a full-time stay-at-home mom.  Noelia was the type of woman that hated to rely on others to get things done. She was constantly striving to improve herself and her family. She made it possible for a lot of women in our family to be able to have a career by caring for their children. She loved to sell beauty products; I remember her having a large network of women buyers, and she became the top beauty consultant in our neighborhood.

My mother was the most influential person in my life for many reasons: she inspires me, and she has taught me many important life lessons, like always wearing matching shoes lol…

Noelia cared deeply for her family and friends. She did this not out of obligation, but because of who she was. Noelia was always the first to offer help. She regularly cooked meals that’s how she showed her love for any family member or friends. And she always ensured that every child who crossed her threshold was safe, healthy, and happy. My mother didn't only raise her own children Sonia Pete Didi Betsy, she dedicated her life to helping raise her grandchildren she made sure she never missed a birthday or a special event.

It would be wrong to say that Noelia lost her battle because she never stopped fighting. No matter how sick she was, she was always determined. When anyone else would have broken, Nolly stayed strong. Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance truly look like. There was no quit in Noelia . Just because she is no longer here, it doesn’t mean she lost her fight. Noelia is survived by 4 children 9 grandkids and 8 great-grandchildren.
