Norman Levin

Norman David Levin (January 26th 1950 - March 14th 2023) was born in Baltimore, Maryland to Harold and Matilda Levin.

In 1977, Norman moved to Orlando, Florida, where he would then meet his beloved wife, Marlene. Norman and Marlene married in 1980 and have three beautiful children, Edgar-Jason Levin, Tracee Williams, and Jeremy Levin. His legacy lives on in his children and his six grandchildren, Donovan, Ashlynn, Brooklyn, Londynn, Silas, and Harrison.

Norman, a graduate of the University of Miami and the University of Maryland School of Law, was a Board Certified Marital and Family Lawyer; as well as a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, practicing family law in Longwood, Florida.

Norman served on the Executive Council of the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar from 1994-2003 and was Chair of the Section in 2001-2002. He served as chair and co-chair of the CLE Committee of the Section from 1994-1996 and has lectured throughout the United States on various Family Law topics. He served as a Director of the Seminole County Bar Association in 1989-1990 and served as Chair of the Family Law Section of the Seminole County Bar in 1990 and 1991. He was also a faculty member of the Marital and Family Law Certification Review Course for 11 years.

Norman is the author and creator of the Family Law Software program, Divorce Power Analyzer. He authored the book "The Real Family Law Practice" and articles on Family Law Arbitration, Special Equity, Providing for Special Needs Children in Dissolution Cases and Complex Child Support Issues.

Norman claims special pride for having created the Seminole County Juvenile Arbitration Program in 1980. This was the first program of its kind in the state of Florida and was ultimately adopted by the State as the model for the arbitration component of the JASP Program.

Norman served as an Assistant State Attorney in the 18th Judicial Circuit of Florida from 1977 to 1981 and was the Chief Trial Attorney of the Public Defender's Office of the 18th Judicial Circuit from 1981 to 1982.

Norman was a dedicated member of Congregation Beth Am and one of its founding families in 1978. He serviced as Cantor for 20+ years. Bar and Bat Mitzvahed more than 200 students. His love for the Jewish faith was immeasurable. His greatest love was during the Jewish New Year (Rosh Hashanah-a) and Yom Kippur when he would show off his singing talents during Kol Nidre.

Norman is survived by his wife Marlene, his children Edgar-Jason (Melissa), Tracee (Matt) and Jeremy (Caryn) and his 6 Grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters Roslyn Morgan (Nat) and Saundra Trionfo (Irv), as well as his many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

There was nothing more important to Norman than his family. He lived each and every day to the fullest, with love and pride in his heart for each and every one of them. His kindness, integrity, compassion, strong-will, dedication, and selflessness will never be forgotten or taken for granted.

A Graveside Burial service will be held on Friday, March 17th, 11am at Highland Memory Gardens, 3329 E. Semoran Blvd., Apopka, FL. 32703. Once you pull onto cemetery grounds, please follow the Yellow arrows to Mr. Levin's burial space.
