Paul Barron

March 2, 1948 — December 3, 2022

Paul Joseph Barron was called by His Heavenly Father to his eternal home, at the age of 74, on December 3, 2022 in Belle Isle, Florida. Paul was born on March 2, 1948 in Evansville, Indiana to the late Carl E. and Nola Catherine (Scott) Barron.

Paul served in the United States Army from 1968 to 1970. He was a highly decorated Vietnam veteran. He was presented with the Purple Heart, National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal with Two Bronze Service Stars along with a number of other medals and accommodations for his heroic actions.

Due to injuries he received while serving in Vietnam, and an injury he sustained on the job after his service in Vietnam, Paul was forced to retire from his trucking occupation. Prior to his trucking employment Paul was also employed as a very skilled welder/fabricator. Paul had great love for his Heavenly Father and Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In his retirement he spent considerable time reading and appreciating his bible. His special interest was in his beloved dog "Crystal" which he was training to be a therapy dog. Crystal only had one more test to pass and then she would become an official service dog.

Paul is survived by five sisters: Patricia Hearn, Apopka, FL; Mary Barron and Carole Morris, Evansville, IN; Catherine Anderson (Dave), Bonne Terre, MO; and Elizabeth Handley (Robert), Lehigh Acres, FL and three brothers: Wayne (Margaret) and Robert (Kari) of Evansville, IN and Carl "Mick" (Sandy) of Clearwater, FL. Also many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews.
