Steven Glenn Barker, age 48, passed away on July 24, 2018.
Steve earned his Masters Degree from the famous school of HARD KNOCKS! An Ivy League School where only the most prominent are accepted. Steve earned several managerial positions while in high-school and after graduation. Steve's life drastically changed in 1996 when he became the innocent victim of a high-speed chase in Altamonte Springs. Steve was permanently disabled. Steve was able to walk again and tried to continue with hope; however, his burden was heavy. Steve attempted a career in lawn maintenance for more than 20 years.

He will be dearly missed by his human and animal friends and pets. His humor and ability to deliver the perfect (sometimes inappropriate) joke was awesome. Steve always tried to make us laugh especially through the hard times. He won several rounds of pool last time. He earned serious bragging rights! His Nephew Treyveon shared regret that he won't be able to conquer his Uncle's ultimate win! Steve will also be remembered for his love of Elvis. He was always ready to sing and dance when he heard Elvis.
Steve loved to spend his time boating, fishing, cooking for others with love, watching the bears get into mischief in his neighborhood, watching people canoe and kayak past his back yard after a storm, discussing the latest contemporary issue or historical event…warming, war, politics, history, government, the beautiful outdoors, and the drummer and singer of which band?…always…the historian for all of us…and ultimately coasting, feeling, loving, of the St. Johns River of Florida. Steve will be shared with his favorite fishing spot..thanks to Todd.
Contributions and Donations of money, time, food, and love, may be made on Steve's behalf to your neighbor, your friend, your family member, a co-worker, or a homeless and hungry human or animal, a stranger or a loved one….Steve never discriminated
