In Loving Memory of William (Bill) Walton Boggess,

With heavy hearts, we bid farewell to a truly remarkable man whose vibrant spirit and zest for life left an indelible mark on all who knew him. Bill passed away on May 22, 2024.

Born on August 14, 1942, to William and Louise Boggess in Charleston, West Virginia. Bill's journey was one of adventure and exploration. He pursued knowledge with an insatiable curiosity, earning a Bachelor's degree in education from Eastern Kentucky University and later a Master's degree in computer science from FIT. In 1964, Bill proudly joined the US Army, serving with distinction in Vietnam and Korea before retiring after 20 years of service. Following his military career, Bill embarked on a new chapter in the private sector, focusing on government contracting in Orlando, Florida. His dedication and work ethic was matched only by his irrepressible love for life.

Bill was a man of many passions, but none greater than his love for good company, lively conversations, and, of course, good drinks. Whether he was engaging in spirited debates over a scotch and soda or traversing the country to meet new and old friends, Bill's spirited personality and sage advice reminded us all to embrace life's joys and challenges with a sense of humor and resilience.

A true connoisseur of life's pleasures, Bill found joy in the simple things--a camera, a gripping book, a bold tie or sock, and the exhilarating roar of a Corvette engine. Bill's essence was perfectly captured by his own words "such is life".

Though Bill may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories he created and the love he shared with all who were fortunate enough to know him. He leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love, and unwavering loyalty that will be cherished by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of calling him a friend.

Bill is survived by his daughters Tracy (Mark) Riedl, Darcy (Chris 2023) Stefano, and their mother, Peggy Boggess, his granddaughters Clayton Riedl, Brantly Riedl, and Sawyer Riedl, his sisters Linda (Rodney) Falmlen, Jill (Bill) Blanc, many nieces, nephews, and his longtime companion, Joyce Treutel.

In the fall of 2025, Bill will be laid to rest with full military honors at Arlington National Cemetery, a fitting tribute to a man who served his country with honor and lived life with passion.

Let us raise a glass and toast to the memory of Bill--a man who lived life to the fullest.

Rest easy, Dad, your words of wisdom echo in our souls. Smile for the camera, "say chicken".
