William V Lassiter

March 17, 1942 — November 4, 2025

William V. Lassiter, affectionately known as Dad, Daddy Lassiter, Papa, Granddad, Bill, Billy and Willy, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at the age of 83 in New Smyrna Beach, Florida.

He was born March 17, 1942 to Vaughn W. and Faye M. Lassiter in Alhambra, CA, before moving with the family to Wichita, KS in 1947. After finishing school, he married and had a family of his own and managed an earmold manufacturing company, Precision Earmold Laboratories, in Wichita before moving it to Florida in 1975, where he continued to manage and grow it into a lifelong dream. He eventually co-owned and operated the company from 1993-2018, with his then-wife Donna D. Lassiter. His dedication and hard work helped build a legacy that will be remembered by all who knew him.

A true enthusiast of speed and freedom, Bill had a strong passion for fast cars and his Harley Davidson motorcycle. The roar of an engine and the open road were where he felt most alive. He found peace and happiness in the outdoors, especially at the beach. He loved music, dancing, sports (football - NFL, all the Florida teams, but the Dallas Cowboys were his favorite! - college football GO GATORS! and NASCAR!). He loved animals, especially his dogs, and above all, he loved his family. Bill was a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather (Granddad & Papa) and great-grandfather, and family time was always his greatest joy. He was truly one of a kind, and will always be remembered for his adventurous spirit and that big, beautiful smile he always carried that brought warmth and happiness to everyone around him.

He is survived by his wife, Denice K. Lassiter; his sister, Mary Moxham; his daughters, Cindy L. Gluhan (Jonathan), Gale L. Jones (Gavin), and Brenda C. Serrano (Frank); his son, William E. Lassiter (Jan), his granddaughters, Vanessa Kerlin (Michael), Jennifer Perrow (Kirk), and Skyler Coomer; his grandsons, Eric Lassiter (Daya), Frankie Serrano, Keegan Coomer, and Derek Thompson (Summer); his great-grandchildren, Kylie, Braxton, Brynlee, Priya, Ainslee, Pierce, Breyleigh, Maverick, Mayle and his niece Diane Showalter (Talbert).

The family will receive friends at Highland Funeral Home, 3329 E. Semoran Blvd., Apopka FL.; where Funeral Services will be held at Date and Time TBD. Mr. Lassiter will be laid to rest immediately following at Highland Memory Gardens, Apopka Florida.
