Betty Taylor

February 3, 1936 — December 4, 2022

Betty Taylor, born February 1936, passed away peacefully Sunday morning Dec. 4. She was 86.
Betty was born in Prentice, KY and grew up in Beaver Dam, KY where she met the love of her life Jerry Taylor. When Jerry finished his military duties, they married and relocated to Altamonte Springs, FL.
She is preceded in death by her father Birchell, mother Nina and six brothers and sisters. Her loving husband, Jerry, died in 2009 after 54 years of marriage. Betty had two sons, Jerry Jr. and Ronald Taylor.

She had two granddaughters, Jennifer and Allison and a great grandson, Ayden, who has stolen Betty's heart. She loved being around Ayden, who lights up everyone's eyes when they see him.

Betty made a career in public school food service, where she finally retired in 2010 at 74 years of age. She loved serving the children and made lasting friends.

She enjoyed traveling with Jerry and would often be seen at the Jai Lai Fronton in Fern Park. She loved the game and the people she met there.

A gathering of friends and family will be held at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church in Orlando on Monday Dec. 19 between 2:30 and 4:30.
