Eli Love

February 20, 1925 — September 29, 2019

Eli Herman Love Jr. passed away in his home on Sunday, September 29, 2019. He was born on February 20, 1925 in Miami, Florida to Eli Herman Sr. and Ora Cury Love. He was preceded in death by his brother James Ira Love (Merle Zimmer Love) and his nephew Thomas Warren Love (Helen F. Love). He is survived by his nephews Robert Herman Love and James Rodney Love (Susie Love). He will lovingly remembered by his family of lifelong friends.

Eli, always known as Herman, attended school in Miami and graduated from Jackson High School. He attended David Libscom College. Herman was a proud veteran and patriot who served in the Navy during World War II.

Herman enjoyed a long career as a salesman with Cobia Boats from 1965 to 1987.

He was a benevolent and caring friend who greatly impacted the lives of so many people. He shared his support and generosity with the the Florida Sheriffs Boys Ranch, Mount Dora Christian Home, and was an active member of the Concord Church of Christ.

His life and spirit will be remembered at a service at Woodlawn Cemetery in Gotha, Florida.
