Evelina Berry-Murry, affectionately known as "Tia", was born on May 30th,1931 in Colon, Panama, to her parents, Ethel Berry and William McCloud.
At the age of twenty-seven, Evelina migrated to the United States and resided in the boroughs of Brooklyn and Queens in the state of New York.
Initially, she was employed as a cosmetologist and hairstylist, for approximately fifteen years, and; thereafter, she pursued a collegiate degree in the profession of nursing.

In 1975, Evelina graduated from the New York City Community College with an Associate's Degree in Applied Science in Nursing.
Thereafter, Evelina worked diligently and passionately, for sixteen years, at the Astoria General Hospital, in Queens, New York, as a Registered Nurse and Evening Nursing Supervisor.

In 1991, Evelina retired and relocated to the state of Florida, with her beloved husband, Lester; she resided in Florida until her transition on March 12th, 2021.

Notably, Evelina was a gentle, kindhearted spirit that demonstrated altruism, compassion and continual encouragement to family members; friends, fellow parishioners and those within her residential communities.

In addition, Evelina enjoyed attending Sunday Masses; crocheting, traveling and cooking traditional Spanish meals.

Evelina was predeceased by her biological parents; brother, David Berry; uncle, Ruben Berry and nephew, Rafeal Berry.

Moreover, Evelina is survived by her beloved husband, of forty-six years, Lester; her stepchildren, Natalie and Conway Murry; and her niece, Yvette Berry.

In the past seventeen years, Evelina experienced the physical and psychological effects of Alzheimer's Disease.
As her condition deteriorated, the Vitas Hospice Care Team provided medical, nursing, social work and spiritual services in the comfort of Evelina's home, for approximately four years, as she valiantly endured the effects of this neurodegenerative disease.

As a result, the Murry Family wants to extend deepest and heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Rosendo, Registered Nurse, Betsy Babbitt; Chaplain Noel Allen and the entire Vitas Hospice Care Team for their benevolence and support during this extensive and challenging journey.

In particular, the family wants to extend special acknowledgement to Evelina's Home Health Aides, Erica Williams and DeAngela Allen, for their devotion, diligence and unwavering support.

Ms. Allen and Ms. Williams provided daily baths and intimate care for Evelina with immeasurable kindness, love and tenderness; words cannot express the depth of our appreciation for their commitment and professionalism to our beloved, Evelina.

Additionally, the Murry Family would like to express sincere appreciation to Cythina Rearden, the Director of Business Management at the CSI-Caregiver Services, for her dedication, guidance and genuine concern.

Ms. Rearden has been an invaluable resource to our family throughout the years; we hold her to the highest esteem and appreciated her support immensely.

In closing, our beloved, Evelina was admired, cherished, revered and profoundly loved; we will miss her each and every day.
May She Rest in Eternal Peace.
