Francis Daley

Francis (Frank) Joseph Daley Jr. 1940 -2021
Frank, known to many as a beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, dear friend and husband throughout his celebrated 81 years of life, was called to be with his Lord and Savior on May 4 at the age of 81.
Frank was born on March 5, 1940 in Queens, New York. Having relocated to Central Florida in 1947 with his parents and sister, Frank soon began to plant his own roots here in Winter Park.
Frank graduated from Winter Park High School, then attended Rollins College. He served in the US Army, worked at Martin Marietta, served as an aide to Republican Lou Frey's campaign in 1968 and was on Frey's congressional staff for five years. Frank then opened his own business Frank J. Daley Consultants Inc. and Frank Daley Real Estate in Winter Park for many years. Frank and Judi Daley owned and operated a beautiful Bed and Breakfast Inn for 15 years across from Rollins College called The Fortnightly Inn. Frank, never "officially" retired, he was always working on a "project" of some sort and mostly for others.
He loved the Lord and served Him faithfully. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family. He was rarely seen in his later years without his trademark cap or hat. One of many things he enjoyed doing was performing magic tricks for family and friends, often calling some of us to assist him. Cigars were another one of his favorite things, he would welcome anyone to join him to relax and smoke a good cigar. This man was the jack of all trades; there wasn't much of anything he couldn't fix. When he had the opportunity, he loved to throw a line in to fish and cook up what he caught. He was an excellent cook, his plate presentation was impeccable and magazine worthy.
He was always a man of his word. He believed in the honor system and treated others with love and respect. His heart was so big and always carried along with him a beautiful smile. He will be missed by so many who loved and admired him and were blessed to have known him. A phrase Frank often used was "sooner, rather than later". In this case, we are so grateful for the later, rather than sooner. Dad has left his roots implanted in many lives for us to cherish as we go through our journey here on earth.
He is survived by Elaine L'Heureux Daley and daughters Pamela Lloyd and Debbie Daley; Judi Perry Daley and son Christopher Perry Daley; Six grandchildren, Julie, Steven, Lindsey, Curtis, Stephanie and Matthew; Seven great grand-children, Cohen, Wesley, Kipton, Ridge, Renen, Reyn and Rowen.

Arrangements for Frank Daley are as follows:
Graveside service at 11:00am Thursday, May 20th at Palm Cemetery, 1005 N. New York Ave. Winter Park. A reception will immediately follow noon until 2:00pm at Winter Park Country Club, 761 Old England Ave. Winter Park
