Franklin Closser

Franklin D. Closser, 86, died Monday morning, July 27, 2020. He was born September 2, 1933 in Frankton, Indiana to Charles and Eloise Closser. He is survived by his wife Lois West Closser, first wife Dorothy Jean Musselwhite, son James B. Closser (Myrna), step daughters Lorie Ann La Rosa (Anthony James) and Denise Eileen Charron (Derrick Reynolds), sisters Virginia Closser Dunder and Darlene Closser Cox. Grandchildren include James B. Closser II, Raymon Charron, (Kelly Charron),Tabatha Charron (Ryan Bruce), and great grandchildren include Ethan, Kaydence, Paisley, and Hunter.

As a veteran, Frank served in the United States Army as a Staff Sergeant Medic in Livorno, Italy from 1956-57, and several years in the Army Reserves after returning to the United States. Frank loved his work. He worked managing a variety of manufacturing operations including National Tile Corporation, Cobia Boats, Starline Enterprises, National Ambulance Company, and Icarus Design.

He comes from a large family whose livelihood was that of farming in the mid-western township of Frankton, Indiana. He had five siblings including the eldest Virginia (who is 99 and still gardening at her home is Cicero, Indiana), Wilma Johnson, Gilbert Closser, Florence Witham, and the youngest Darlene Cox who also lives in Indiana.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 31st, 10am at Highland Memory Gardens, 3329 E. Semoran Blvd., Apopka, FL. Due to restrictions in place from the Coronavirus pandemic, all family, friends, & guests will be required to wear a face mask, or facial covering to attend funeral services.  A recording of the funeral services can be viewed by clicking on the following link (https://www.geminigraphicsstreaming.com/Highland/FClosser.MOV)
