Janice Mohring

Janice B. Mohring, of Orlando, Fl passed peacefully on June 3, 2021, from Congestive Heart Failure.

Janice was born in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on October 31, 1938 and had resided in Atlanta, Fern Park and Orlando, Fl during her 82 years. Jan graduated from Cape Girardeau Central High Class of 1956 and attended the University of Tampa for two years. While living in Atlanta Jan was Executive Assistant to the CEO of WSB radio located on Peachtree known than as “White Columns.”

In the time that she was married to Diedrich F. Mohring they welcomed three beautiful children, Deborah, Teresa and Diedrich.

Jan fostered dogs, enjoyed antiquing, gardening, crafts and loved making fudge at Christmas time.  A rescued Yorkie named Toto became her faithful friend.  Jan enjoyed doing puzzles and challenging family playing Words with Friends online. Jan was always well dressed and fully coordinated in seasonal appropriate outfits.

Janice is survived by her children, Deborah Graber (Jay) of Atlanta, Teresa Mohring Ridenour of Hendersonville, SC and Diedrich “Rick” Mohring (Kerry) of Orlando; her grandchildren, Brittney Nantes,  Cortlin Graber Howard,  Cassandra Graber Blom and Zachary Graber, Jarred Mohring and Coleman Ridenour, and Austin Mohring; her great-grandchildren, Caden, Jazzlyn, Nova, Quilan and Lincoln and her sister Carolyn Beckie Cowart-Vivona and Brother-in-law Alexander Vivona Jr. of Aurora, CO and her niece Beth Cowart of Aurora, Co and niece, Tiffany Beckwith of Corapolis, PA and nephew, Mark Beckwith of Chicago.

Jan is preceded in death by her brother William Beckwith Jr. and son-in-law David Ridenour.

A private Celebration of Life was held at which her family enjoyed sharing their favorite “Nana-isms”, eating Chicken Cacciatore and Werther’s caramel hard candies.
