Obituary

Joseph Sidney Webb, 93, of Sorrento, FL passed away on March 26, 2022. He was born on April 10, 1928, to Sidney and Edna Webb in Gulfport, Florida. Joseph was a Navy Veteran who bravely served in WWII and was stationed in Guam. Those who knew of him and loved him called him Dad or Papa. Joe was quite the world traveler. He was always planning a trip or going somewhere, whether it be by car, boat, or hitchhiking on a train as a youngster. He loved to travel in his little minivan. He put a bed in the back of it and that was all he needed. He loved seeing new places, making new friends, and visiting with family old and new. Joseph loved his family deeply. He would be at any and all gatherings family and friends had. He loved to visit with people, and he loved the food too...he wouldn't miss a meal. Joe always had a story to tell you about his travels and adventures throughout his life, 93 years of them. Everyone loved to hear the tales and stories as some were quite unbelievable. He loved being on the river and in the woods. He loved the outdoors. Joe was a lifetime member of NRA and the Moose Legion. Joe was retired from Florida Power Corporation. He was an AC/Heating and Refrigeration Mechanic. Joe was so very much loved by his family, friends, and all who met him, He will be missed by many. He has left quite a Legacy for all of us. He is now resting in the arms of our Lord. He is now at peace with his Heavenly family, and we will meet up with him again one day. God Bless.
