It is with great sadness that the family of Martha Ann Maddux, of Mt. Dora, Florida, formerly of Louisville, Kentucky, announces her passing on September 5, 2020. Martha was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, & sister. Martha will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts.

Martha was born in Louisville, Kentucky to Charles and Louise Chitwood. Martha and her family moved to Florida in 1984. Martha had a distinguished career at the publishing company Harcourt-Brace-Jovanovich as an assistant editor.

Martha was adventurous and full of life, having gone sky-diving, enjoyed motorcycle riding, and jeep off-roading. Martha was a talented country music singer. She would perform at various clubs and had recorded 2 CD's. Martha loved to sing Karaoke and was learning to play the guitar. Martha was also an accomplished artist and painter. She created beautiful arts and crafts, and sold some of her work at the art shows.

Martha was proceeded in death be her husband, Herschel Ray Maddux. Martha is survived by her 2 sons, Roy Leonard "Lennie" Denhard, Jr. (Diana), Raymond Alan Maddux (Beth); grandchildren, Chad Brandon Denhard (Tori), Jeremy Brian Denhard, Heather Marie Coronel (Jorge), David Ray Maddux, & Brittany Michelle Maddux; great-grandchildren, Parker Jorge Coronel, Landen Jorge Coronel, Ava Marie Coronel, & Owen James Denhard. She is also survived by brothers, Charlie Sibert, & Edward Eastwood, & sister, Carolyn Weisman. Martha is survived by her boyfriend, Steve Spencer.

Martha's greatest joy was spending time with her 2 sons and their families. She loved spending time with all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Due to restrictions in place from the Coronavirus pandemic, all services will be closed to the public and held privately. The family appreciates all your love and support throughout this difficult time.
