Marvin Teague

July 20, 1942 — June 3, 2021

Apopka, FL.

Marvin Junior Teague was born on July 20, 1942 in Russellville, Alabama to Marvin and Ruby Teague. He earned his eternal crown on June 3, 2021 in Apopka, Florida in his daughter's arms after finally beating Parkinson's Disease and cancer.

Marvin was a rebellious child for his mother. He chose to spend time on the streets, sneaking and smoking his dad's cigarettes, walking the train tracks and eventually dropping out of junior high school. His life changed when he met a beautiful, young, seventeen-year-old lady named Doris Jean. He married Doris, with her father's permission, in his mother's home on March 11, 1962.

Marvin learned a trade to support his new wife. He became a plumber's apprentice and journeyman learning all he could. He worked for Mark's and Tillman's Plumbing companies supporting his family.

Doris bought their home in Lockhart, Florida one day while Marvin was working. Marvin and Doris lived in their home for more than 50 years. They raised their three children together there - Danny, Stacey, and Jeannie. Marvin was an active leader in his children's Scout Troops, leading the boys and teaching girls to camp. Marvin was also a father figure to many others, helping them on their way and guiding them through life. Marvin gained three more children when Danny and Sharon, Stacey and Teresa, and Jeannie and John were married.

In 1976, Marvin's dream of opening his own plumbing company was accomplished. Teague's Plumbing was created. Marvin and Doris ran their business together. Marvin continued to learn and became a master plumber. He continued to give back to his community by helping others in need. He ran his company until he had to close it in 2000 due to his Parkinson's Disease.

Marvin loved to work outdoors and keep his yard maintained. He worked hard to keep a beautiful yard for Doris. He would plant three big gardens on his back lot and tend to them before and after work. Marvin enjoyed sitting in the sun. His dogs - Bobo, Monster and Marvin would always be near him. Marvin also had a great sense of humor as he was known to play pranks and make silly faces.

Marvin cherished his seven grandchildren - Jessica, Kyle, Johnny, Abby, Jenna, Rebekah and Nick. Even more cherished was his time with his great grandson Gavin and great granddaughter Meredith. He was looking forward to meeting his new great grandchildren on the way.

Marvin is survived by his three children and their spouses, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Verna Coffey of Altamonte Springs, Florida. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Marvin and his loving wife Doris of 58 years are together again at home in heaven along with their great granddaughter Aubrey.
